Job Description
We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team! This full-time opportunity is remote, with regular day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, based in New Mexico. Important Note: While this is a remote role, candidates must have a permanent address in New Mexico or be willing to relocate. There may be occasional visits to our Albuquerque office if you experience technical issues like network or laptop problems.
Salary Range: $52,915 - $66,185 (Based on experience and full-time equivalent of 40 hours per week. Part-time schedules will be prorated accordingly.)
### What You'll Do:
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Compiling financial and statistical data using various ledgers and systems.
- Performing detailed account analysis for income statements and balance sheet accounts using tools like MS Excel.
- Managing the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Assisting in the monthly close process by performing income and expense accruals.
- Preparing data for internal use and supporting external audits.
Your ability to analyze financial data, maintain organized records, and collaborate across teams will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting processes.
### What We're Looking For:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting with at least 15 credit hours in accounting.
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience. A higher level of education can be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and tools like MS Excel, general ledger systems, and other financial tools.
